Ben has been an avid gardener in a variety of settings since 2017. It was on a small organic farm on the Front Range in Colorado where the light bulb went off and his journey with horticulture began. From there he joined AmeriCorps, an opportunity provided to him through a community garden project in Knoxville, Tennessee, leading him to another project in Kent, Washington, where his career took shape as an experienced gardener in the Pacific Northwest. Since coming to Seattle in 2020, he’s been working in residential landscape maintenance, connecting with local organizations such as the King County Master Gardeners, Plant Amnesty and Washington State Nursery & Landscape Association, to increase his knowledge in local horticulture and have a variety of resources to consult to make the best decisions possible for your landscape.
